Given the fact that we were all treated differently by the teachers - at least I assume so; was that Hufflepuff girl crying by the end? - I suppose I'm grateful that my interviewing process wasn't too terribly awful. At one point, the Auror actually faltered at my question about whether or not it's morally correct to pass judgment on certain Dark Wizards when a tool like the Imperius curse exists. Not that all or even most of those being held for Dark Magic have been under such a spell, but still. The possibility exists.
Regardless, it's fairly easy for me to keep track of my own finances, given the fact that I've been doing it for years. Managing the manor isn't so hard, given that most of the money goes for restocking the pantry and such things. The house elves don't accept payment, obviously, after all. I'm actually astonished to discover, though, that my biggest expense since coming back to school isn't what I thought it might be. Feeding Sparkplug isn't so expensive.
